I’m in my early 40s and love putting my time into the things I’m passionate about.

I live in Herefordshire with my wife and three children on a 5 acre smallholding where we try to produce and grow as much as we can ourselves (You can read more about that at my other blog www.englishhomestead.com). We grow, preserve, bake and make everything we can.

I earn my living in many ways, firstly by being a carpenter with 20 plus years in the industry, by making and selling wooden garden items online that I make in my workshop, by giving talks to garden clubs (I give around 25 a year) and by writing for various magazines.

I have had over 125 articles published with many more in the pipeline.
